Students Participate in Black History Month Event
The beat is on at Eiland Middle School! In celebration of Black History Month, Dr. Robert Damm of the MSU Music Department presented a program in the Eiland libray for students on African drums and music on Friday. Students were selected to participate based upon good behavior.
Dr. Damm briefly spoke on Black History and introduced the students to an array of musical instruments and African dance. The students quickly got into the act as Damm provided a wide assortment of drums and other instruments. Students were performing as a group with Dr. Damm and even the teachers were getting into the act. (from wwn news)
